The Festival of New American Music (FeNAM) is an annual showcase of professional and student musicians at California State University, Sacramento. New American Music is a contemporary approach to classical music by American composers, utilizing a mix of modern technique and sound with foundations in classical music.
The solution centered on the contemporary and dynamic nature of New American Music. Cut up music sheets embody the music’s personality: modern with foundations in the classical. The resulting imagery creates a sense of mystery surrounding the music, sparking interest.
The color palette consists of opposite sides of three hues (green, blue, purple) with the darker palette resembling the serenity of classical music, and the neons representing the shake up of the music’s style.
