Spar Bar Signature
Identity for Spar Bar, a women’s kickboxing gym (and bar!) located in Sacramento, CA. Spar Bar focuses on providing an inclusive, comfortable, judgement-free space where women can become stronger without the pressure to “look cute” while working out. The gym offers a variety of Spartender-led classes for women at any fitness level. After a workout Spar Bar members can enjoy a themed drink in the bar. Spargarita, anyone?
I wanted to create a logo that emphasized strength over sexy. The silhouette allows any woman to see herself as the kickboxing figure. The tagline, “Come in and Kick Back”, is a friendly welcome while serving as a nod to both kickboxing and the bar.
